Last Friday we visited the restored area in El Bruc with students of the double degree of Environmental Sciences and Geology of the Autonomous University of Barcelona to present the project. Students will do their dissertation collaborating with the monitoring of plantings and sowings, in addition to evaluating the effect of restorations and other post-fire practices on soil erosion. The same measures were taken on Friday to evaluate the physiological state and growth of olive and oak.
We also have the presence of several researchers and collaborators of the team of Professor Xavier Úbeda of the University of Barcelona, experts in areas affected by fires. We visited the different areas where it was planted and discussed the possibilities of collaboration in terms of monitoring and replication of the project.
