Invitation to the inauguration of the demonstration area in El Bruc, Cataluña

The partners of the Project LIFE THE GREEN LINK invite all citizens interested in learning about sustainable reforestation techniques, restoration methods in at-risk areas and climate change adaptation strategies at the informative and inauguration day to be held on Thursday, March 9th, in El Bruc, Catalonia.

The climate change impacts addressed by this project are the following:

Adaptation to desertification risk: Improve ecosystem services and stop the degradation of European soils by improving their quality and water retention capacity.
Adaptation to biodiversity loss risk: Contribute to the creation of favorable microhabitats for different species.
Adaptation to water scarcity: Demonstrate the feasibility of planting trees without irrigation, using Cocoon technology
