This week Land Life Company, assisted by Volterra Ecosystems, has started the second planting in Tous, which included a variety of fruit trees (Walnut, Almond, Pomegranate and Carob Tree), besides native species, such as Holm Oak, Olive and Sictus tree (Tetraclinis articulata). These tree crops could give an important added value to the marginal rainfed agriculture lands in the region.
Despite the difficult terrain (heavy clay with many rocks and stones), the plantation has been concluded successfully. CSIC-CIDE assisted during the week with technical advice.
