Today, Volterra founders Sven Kallen and Egbert Sonneveld and CREAF’s project manager Vicenç Carabassa visited the trial fields in El Bruc, Catalonia. It was a really wet visit, as after 6 months without significant rain, today it did pour big time all over the region.
Most trees that we saw were doing well, but cover crops at one of the plots was still not germinated. The other plot at San Simeo has shown some germination. This rain should help the coming months for better results.
The Cocoons were pretty soaked and in some cases the plant hole was full of water. In the picture you can see a Quercus ilex doing very well.
