On 2nd February, Mr Kourkoumpas participated in a conference organized by CERTH and CRES. Within his presentation about the restoration of abandoned land areas, he took the opportunity to present the project LIFE Green Link and especially the activities taken place at the area of exhausted lignite mines in Western Macedonia in Greece. Mr Kourkoumpas presented the results of the project focusing mainly to the environmental and economic benefits of the project. The attendants of the conference were mainly researchers, scientists, academics, farmers, agricultural cooperation representatives etc. Leaflets of the project were available at the stand of PASEGES. Mr Kourkoumpas informed PASEGES about the project activities. Indicative photos are given below
