From 3 to 7.30 pm
Finca de Osorio (Las Palmas, Gran Canaria)
The effects of climate change become more obvious to us every day. Frequent floods, enduring droughts, heatwaves, variable water streams, temperature increases and scarce and unreliable rain events have devastating effects on local flora and fauna. Under these circumstances, the risks of desertification and forest fires are increasing, especially in areas that already suffer from water scarcity. It is therefore of vital importance to develop adaptive methods that reduce the vulnerability of these ecosystems and reinforce their resilience.
The project partners of LIFE The Green Link invite all civilians interested in sustainable reforestation practices, methods for restauration of threatened ecosystems and climate change adaptation strategies, to come to our upcoming informative event. The day will be organised within the framework of cooperation between LIFE projects in the Finca de Osorio (Las Palmas).
This project is co-financed by the LIFE programme of the Eurpean Union
